Off-season rooms at Circus Circus drop to $23/night so it turns out cheaper to live on the strip than to rent a two-bedroom Vegas home! Affordability and convenience make Vegas a hotspot even during a recession. Check out this Infographic scaling Sin City’s crazy tourism industry.

Status of Indian Women
The TrustLaw, a legal news service of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, surveyed 370 gender experts to rank G20 countries in terms of the overall best and worst to be a woman in that country. The experts held India in the lowest rank even below even Saudi Arabia, where women are still not allowed to drive and earned the right to vote only in 2011. India's economic advancement in different sectors over the last two decades has helped to empower the Indian women and change the mindsets of how men see women. Women are being treated like an 'asset' rather than 'liabilities'. Women are going out to work - This has given them not only financial resources, but mobility and respect. But statistics proves that discrimination and abuse against women is not caused by poverty. Poverty just exacerbates the situation for women - the root causes lie in the patriarchal mindsets which see women as inferior, as objects to be exploited and used for domestic/sexual/financial gain. Age-old feudal views see women as inferior, objects to be confined to homes and/or exploited for sexual and domestic servitude. In India, you have a very different future, depending on whether you have an extra X chromosome, or a Y chromosome. The child sex ratio has dipped to its lowest levels since Independence to 914. Three things can improve the lives of women in India: Education, Empowerment of women through giving them access to resources and opportunities and Enforcing the laws.
